The Master’s College men’s soccer team won its first game of the season, 3-2, over Bethesda University.
The Mustangs scored three goals in the second half to win the game. Bethesda had a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Valencia High graduate Zach Klindworth scored in the 59th minute for The Master’s College’s first goal. Jordan Edwards tied the score, 2-2, with a goal in the 80th minute.
Jorge Serrano scored the winning goal on penalty kick in the 86th minute.
The College of the Canyons women’s soccer team shut out Santa Barbara City College, 4-0. The Lady Cougars are 4-1-2 in their first seven games.
The College of the Canyons men’s soccer team lost to Moorpark College, 2-1, in a Western State Conference game. The Cougars took a 1-0 lead in the first half, but Moorpark scored two goals before halftime to win the game.
The Cougars are 1-4-2 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
In golf, The Master’s College men’s team finished in second place in the California State Intercollegiate Classic at the Diamond Valley Golf Course in Hemet.
The Mustangs shot 882 as a team and finished 16 strokes behind Cal State San Marcos.
In volleyball, The Master’s College women beat Hope International in three sets. The Lady Mustangs are 11-3 and ranked No. 21 in the NAIA poll.
In football, Caylin Hauptmann, who played for the College of the Canyons, was added to the Seattle Seahawks roster.
The rookie offensive lineman out of Florida International spent the preseason with the Cleveland Browns. He appeared in all four preseason games for the Browns and started once at left guard.
He was added to the Seahawks roster after tackle Russell Okung was placed on injured reserve.
In baseball, the Dodgers beat the San Francisco Giants, 2-1. Yasiel Puig and Matt Kemp hit solo home runs. Hyun-Jin Ryu gave up one run on four hits and won his 14th game of the season.
The Dodgers and Giants continue their series tonight in San Francisco. Listen to the game on AM 1220, KHTS. First pitch is at 7.
