The Master’s College Women’s Soccer Team Ranked No. 15 In NAIA Poll

The Master’s College women’s soccer team dropped to No. 15 in the NAIA poll after losing to Concordia last week.

But the Lady Mustangs bounced back with a 2-0 shutout over Hope International over the weekend.

Katie Farris and Jordan Benson each scored a goal for The Master’s College.

The Lady Mustangs take on No. 6 Vanguard on the road today.

The College of the Canyons women’s soccer team shut out West LA College, 10-0, scoring seven goals in the first half.

Stacey Atwater and Leilani Konrad each recorded a hat trick, scoring three goals apiece. Atwater added two assists.

Annika Wilson, Yesenia Avilez, Kelsey Sherry and Lizzie Rivas also scored for COC.

The Lady Cougars improved to 11-1-2, and are undefeated at 5-0 in the Western State Conference South Division.

The College of the Canyons men’s soccer team lost to Santa Monica College, 1-0. Santa Monica College scored the lone goal of the game in the 74th minute.

In volleyball, The Master’s College women are ranked No. 13 in the NAIA after beating San Diego Christian, 3-1, in a Golden State Athletic Conference match.

The Lady Mustangs are 15-4 and 5-2 in conference.

In hockey, the Kings lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning, 5-1. Slava Voynov scored his first goal of the season for the Kings in the third period.

In baseball, the Dodgers lost to the St. Louis Cardinals, 4-2, in Game 4 of the National League Championship Series.

The Cardinals have a 3-1 lead in the series. The Dodgers will look to stave off elimination in Game 5 today at Dodger Stadium.

Zack Greinke will start for the Dodgers against Joe Kelly for the Cardinals.
