The Master’s College Women’s Soccer Team Wins Season Opener

news_sportsThe Master’s College women’s soccer team opened the season with a win against William Jessup University in Rocklin yesterday.

Bobbie Roberts and Robin Estrada scored goals for The Master’s College, who came away with a 2-1 victory.

 

Next up for The Master’s College women is Holy Names in Oakland on Saturday.

In auto racing, Bryan Herta Autosport heads to Chicagoland Speedway in Illinois this weekend and is coming off a podium finish in its last Firestone Indy Lights race. Felipe Guimaraes was second in the race at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma.

But Guimaraes will not be in the race at Chicagoland. He only had a two-race deal with the team owned by Valencia’s Bryan Herta.

Daniel Herrington will be the lone driver for the team in Saturday”s race. Herrington is coming off an 11th place finish at Infineon Raceway and seventh in the Indy Lights standings.

The Indy Lights season ends Oct. 9 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The Chicagoland race is the penultimate race of the season.
