Three COC Football Players Earn All-Conferene First Team Honors

sportslocalThree players from the College of the Canyons football team earned Southern California Football Association Northern Conference first-team honors.

Tight end Mychal Rivera and wide receiver DJ Stephens are on the all-conference first team on offense. Cornerback Aaron Fisher made the all-conference first team on defense.

 

Seven players in all from COC made the all-conference team. Jake Tepper, Jeremy Boone, Evan Harrington and Kenny Shanahan earned second-team all-conference honors.

In college basketball, the College of the Canyons women won their home opener, 92-60, against Long Beach City College. COC center Joslynn Frazier scored 24 points and had 16 rebounds. Teammate Ashley Wakefield had 24 points and 13 rebounds.

The College of the Canyons men’s team begins play in the San Juan Hills Toyota Classic in Irvine today. The COC men are 3-0 to start the season.
