Two baseball players from the Santa Clarita Valley were selected to the All-CIF Southern Section Division 7 team.

Davis Muxlow from Santa Clarita Christian and Dakota Prochnow from Trinity Classical Academy earned spots on the Division 7 team.

In the NBA Finals, it was the San Antonio Spurs turn to pour it on against the Miami Heat. The Spurs won Game 3 of the NBA Finals, 113-77, hitting a record 16 3-pointers.

Danny Green made seven 3-pointers and scored 27 points for the Spurs. The Spurs lead the series, 2-1. Game 4 is Thursday in San Antonio.

In baseball, the Dodgers beat the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks, 5-3, and snapped a three-game losing streak.

Tim Federowicz hit a three-run double in the eighth inning to give the Dodgers the lead.

There were two bench-clearing brawls and five players and coaches, including Dodgers rookie Yasiel Puig, were ejected. Five batters were hit by pitches in the game.

The third game of the series between the Dodgers and the Diamondbacks is tonight at Dodger Stadium.

About Connie Jones

Connie and her husband, John, moved to the Santa Clarita Valley almost 30 years ago. Living in Santa Clarita for that long is the direct opposite of Connie’s childhood. She was an Army ‘brat’ who moved every two to three years. Consequently, she has lived in many states and even spent three years in Europe. All three of her kids went to Santa Clarita schools. Connie says the best thing about her job at KHTS is that she is never bored. “If I’m not smiling, Carl is sure to ask why, just before giving me a mind-boggling project.” “KHTS AM-1220 is an integral part of our community and I’m glad to be a part of it. Besides, the DJs will take my request to play Shania Twain’s ‘Still the One’ for my wedding anniversary – gotta love that!”
