Last season the Knights finished 9-2, outscoring their opponents 537-166 and taking three nods on the All CIF-SS Div. II 8-Man First Team for junior running back Caden Kulp, senior linebacker Ian Caddow, and recent Trinity graduate All-CIF QB Colton Oshiro, a force on both sides of the ball. The Knights will now compete in CIF-SS East Valley Division and will be placed in a competitive league appropriate for the school’s size, their record and performance next year.

“Our athletes are ready for 11-man football and to compete at this elevated level,” said Head Coach Les Robinson. “Our first scrimmage against St. Bernard, a 27-0 win, proves these young men are in a great position to have another successful season.”

“The transition to 11-man football now allows our athletes to be better positioned to command the attention they deserve,” said Dr. Dixon. The Trinity Knights Athletics Department has secured 8 games and will play as a freelance team for this season.

Les Robinson (“Coach Rob”) has the experience and know-how to transition a team to 11-man football. Former assistant coach to the Saugus Centurions and Santa Clarita Christian School Cardinals, Coach Rob successfully transitioned SCCS to 11-Man Football for the 2012 season.

He has spent over thirty years coaching high school football and track and field, winning eight straight league titles and four San-Joaquin CIF Championships along the way. Coach Rob was brought on as Head Football Coach for Trinity Classical Academy in the Spring, 2014 and brought the Knights another winning season.

Also a pastor, who most recently served as Senior Pastor at The Burning Bush in Valencia and currently serves as Director of Ministries for the FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), Robinson is able to help young people develop a meaningful relationship with God through the camaraderie of sports, sharing his own testimonies, along with those of professional athletes.

The Trinity Knights Department of Athletics is guided by a commitment to excellence embodied in Christ-like core values: Integrity, Camaraderie and Victory.

Over the course of the last decade, Trinity Athletics has grown to over 40 teams in 4th through 12th grade. With two CIF Titles and several athletic scholarships awarded from four-year colleges, this fall the Trinity Knights will face higher levels of competition in both football and basketball, which will lead to further success for athletes.
