Undefeated Hart Boys Basketball Team Faces Culver City

The Hart boys basketball team will look to stay undefeated and improve to 10-0 against Culver City tonight.

The Indians, ranked No. 5 in the CIF Southern Section Division 3AAA poll, are coming off a championship run in the La Canada Tournament.

The Saugus boys basketball team is on the road and plays Oxnard tonight.

The Santa Clarita Christian boys basketball team hosts Albert Einstein Academy in a game at The Master’s College.

On the girls side, Valencia begins play in the Burroughs Varsity Tournament in Burbank today.

The Saugus girls travel to play Beverly Hills.

The Santa Clarita Christian girls play Albert Einstein Academy at The Master’s College.

In high school soccer, Valencia plays Viewpoint in the Camino Cup tournament at Valencia High.

The Hart girls take on Granada Hills in the first round of the El Camino Real Tournament.

Vasquez plays Santa Clarita Christian in a match at The Master’s College.

The Santa Clarita Christian boys soccer team also plays Vasquez at The Master’s College this afternoon.

In high school football, Golden Valley running back Leon Jacobs will play college football at Fresno State, according to a report in The Signal.

Jacobs rushed for 847 yards and five touchdowns for Golden Valley in his senior season. He was recruited to play linebacker at Fresno State. He recorded three sacks and had 19 tackles on defense.

The Lakers needed a second-half rally, but beat the visiting Charlotte Bobcats, 101-100, and won their third game in a row.

Kobe Bryant scored 30 points and Pau Gasol scored 10 points and had nine rebounds in his first start in eight games.

The Lakers were down 18 points in the third quarter before rallying and handing the Bobcats their 12th loss in a row.
