The Master’s College women’s basketball team will look to extend its undefeated winning streak to 18 games tonight against Westmont in a match-up of two teams in the top 25 in the NAIA.
The Lady Mustangs are coming off a 59-53 win over Biola in a Golden State Athletic Conference game on Saturday night. The Master’s College women held Biola to nine points in the first half.
Jacquelyn Marshall scored 15 points to lead the Lady Mustangs.
The Master’s College, ranked No. 8 in the NAIA, is at home tonight against No. 11 Westmont.
The Master’s College men won their first Golden State Athletic Conference game, 67-59, over Biola. Leif Karlberg scored 19 points and made four 3-pointers for the Mustangs.
In college baseball, The Master’s College won its first three games of the season, all against Simpson University over the weekend.
The Mustangs won the first game, 19-1. They swept a doubleheader, 18-0 and 6-0, on Saturday.
In the NBA, the Clippers lost to the Golden State Warriors, 106-99. Blake Griffin scored 26 points and had 13 rebounds for the Clippers. It was the second loss in the past nine games for the Clippers.
The Lakers lost to the Chicago Bulls, 95-83, and dropped to 17-24 on the season. It was the Lakers sixth loss in a row on the road.
In the NHL, Kings defenseman Matt Greene was placed in injured reserve with a back injury and could be sidelined for the season, according to a report by ESPN.
Greene suffered the back injury in the season opener against the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday.
