Valencia Boys Tennis Team Ranked No. 6 In CIF Poll

The Valencia boys tennis team held steady at No. 6 in the CIF Southern Section Division 2 poll for the second week in a row.

The Vikings ran their undefeated Foothill League record to 9-0. They won their eighth Foothill League championship in a row and won their 70th straight league match.

The West Ranch baseball team is still knocking on the door of the Southern Section Division 1 top 10.

The West Ranch boys volleyball is attracting some attention too, sitting outside the Division 1 top 10.

In club soccer, the Santa Clarita Storm beat FC Hasental, 2-1, and won its third game in a row. The Storm is in second place in the National Premier Soccer League South West Division, one point behind the OC Pateadores.

In the NBA, the Clippers are back at Staples Center for Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs against the Memphis Grizzlies.

The series is tied at 2-2. The Grizzlies won two games in Memphis. The Clippers won the first two games of the series at home. Tipoff is at 7:30.

In baseball, the Dodgers lost to the Colorado Rockies, 12-2. Jerry Hairston Jr. hit a two-run home run in the seventh inning for the Dodgers only runs.

The Dodgers and Rockies are back at it again tonight at Dodger Stadium. It will be Hyun-Jin Ryu for the Dodgers against Jorge De La Rosa for the Rockies. First pitch is at 7:10.

In the NHL, the Kings open the Stanley Cup playoffs in St. Louis against the Blues. The Kings are the No. 5 seed in the playoffs. They swept the Blues during the regular season, winning three games.

The last time the two teams met was on March 28 in St. Louis. The Kings won, 4-2.

The Kings have won eight games in a row against the Blues, including a four-game sweep in the playoffs last year.
