Valencia Girls Basketball Team Wins By 30

sportslocalThe Valencia girls basketball team trounced Maranatha by 30 points, 61-31. Faith Anumba scored 18 points in her team’s win. Lauren Spago and Kaylea Summerland each scored 10 points for Valencia.

In high school soccer, the Santa Clarita Christian boys lost to Yeshiva, 4-2. Daniel Stratton scored both goals for Santa Clarita Christian

 

The Santa Clarita Christian girls soccer team is in action today against Pacifica.

The West Ranch girls are on the road to play Ventura and Hart travels to Buena for games today.

On the boys side, the West Ranch soccer team is at home for a game against Eastside. The Hart boys will visit La Canada.

The boys basketball teams from Santa Clarita will have a busy night. Golden Valley is home for a highly anticipated game against Oaks Christian and Canyon hosts El Camino Real. Valencia is on the road against Whittier Christian, Saugus is at Oak Park and West Ranch plays at Camarillo.

The Hart girls basketball team is at home against Camarillo.

In college basketball, The Master’s College men’s and women’s teams play Concordia tonight.

Someone needs to tell Boise State that Halloween, and all its tricks, is in October, not the first week of January. Boise State pulled off one of its patented trick plays, a fake punt, to set up the game-winning touchdown against Texas Christian in the Fiesta Bowl.

Boise State’s Doug Martin scored the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter to give his team a 17-10 win over TCU. Three years ago, Boise State ran its share of trick plays to beat Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl.

With the win in this year’s Fiesta Bowl, Boise State finished undefeated at 14-0.

In the NBA, the Clippers beat the Portland Trailblazers, 105-95, behind 15 points and nine assists from Baron Davis.

The Kings put a whooping on the first-place Sharks, 6-2. Drew Doughty recorded four assists and Anze Kopitar had a goal and an assist in the win.
