Valencia’s Alison Lee Wins Another Golf Tournament

sportslocalValencia golfer Alison Lee won the Valencia Country Club Invitational with a 2-over par, 74, her second individual championship in as many weeks.

She also won the Newhall Land Cup last week at Valencia Country Club.

 

But Lee, the seventh-ranked golfer by the American Junior Golf Association, told The Signal that she will not participate in CIF postseason individual matches. She qualified for the CIF postseason by winning the Newhall Land Cup.

She will, however, participate in the team portions of the CIF postseason. Valencia qualified as a team for CIF postseason play by finishing third in Foothill League.

Hart’s Amanda Corr finished second in the Valencia Country Club Invitational with a 5-over par, 77. Hart teammate Kendall Dusenberry was third with a 9-over par 81.

In college soccer, The Master’s College, the 14th-ranked team in the NAIA, beat Westmont, 2-1. Marcelo Silva scored the deciding goal in the second half. Jacob Marchesani scored the first goal for The Master’s College in the sixth minute. It was the second win in a row for The Master’s College.
