VIDEO: Valencia Boys Basketball Team Loses To Etiwanda In CIF Playoffs

khts_sportsEtiwanda’s Byron Wesley scored 27 points to lead his team to a 70-58 win over Valencia in the CIF Southern Section Division 1AA quarterfinals on Tuesday night at Valencia High School.

Etiwanda jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter and held Valencia scoreless for the first three-and-a-half minutes of the game.

Valencia’s Lonnie Jackson scored a team-high 21 points, but did not make his first field goal until the third quarter. He was 10-for-13 from the free-throw line.

Etiwanda will play top-seeded Long Beach Poly in the semifinals.
