West Ranch Advances To Semifinals Of Valley Invitational Baseball League Playoffs

sportswestranchThe final four is set in the Valley Invitational Baseball League playoffs. Top-seeded West Ranch won its quarterfinal game, 7-1, over El Camino Real.

J.C. Cloney had two hits and drove in three runs for West Ranch. Jared Ortiz scored three runs and drove in two. Allen Sarkissian struck out seven in 6 1/3 innings for the win. He also had two hits.

Valencia did not fare as well in the quarterfinals, losing to Crespi, 4-2. Brian Mundell drove in a run with a single and Jake Roberge had a sacrifice fly for Valencia.

Newbury Park was a 6-3 winner over Westlake and Agoura beat Chatsworth, 4-3, in the other quarterfinal games.
West Ranch will host Crespi in one semifinal game. Newbury Park travels to Agoura in the other semi. Both games are on Wednesday.
