West Ranch Baseball Team Slams Golden Valley

sportswestranchThe West Ranch baseball team had little trouble with Golden Valley in the Valley Invitational Baseball League.

Michael Alvarez hit a grand slam and drove in five runs as West Ranch beat Golden Valley, 21-6, on Wednesday. Jared Ortiz had three hits and drove in three runs for West Ranch, undefeated at 8-0 in the summer baseball league.

The Valencia baseball team was back to its winning ways, 13-3, over Westlake. Saugus lost to St. Francis, 10-5.

Next up for West Ranch is Hart. Valencia is on the road to face Taft. Both games are on Friday.

In other Friday games, Canyon plays Crespi at Valley College and El Camino Real is at Golden Valley.
