West Ranch Improves To 7-0 in Valley Invitational Baseball League

sportswestranchThe West Ranch baseball team stayed undefeated in the Valley Invitational Baseball League over the weekend. Starter Allen Sarkissian didn’t give up a hit in five innings in a 2-0 win over St. Bonaventure on Monday.

Jared Ortiz had two hits and his West Ranch team improved to 7-0 in the summer baseball league.

 

On Friday, West Ranch got three hits apiece from Nico Rusconi and Sarkissian in a 9-2 win over Sylmar.

Valencia is undefeated as well at 4-0. The Valencia team downed Camarillo, 7-6, on Friday.

Golden Valley lost to Granada Hills, 8-5, Monday, and lost to Canyon, 2-1, on Friday.

Hart lost two games over the weekend, 9-4, to Chatsworth, and, 10-8, to Granada Hills. Saugus lost to Thousand Oaks, 7-6.

In women’s soccer, the Premier Soccer Santa Clarita Valley Rooks have a pair of home games this weekend at Canyon High School. The Rooks face the Claremont Stars on Saturday and the San Diego SeaLions on Sunday. Both games start at 5.
