West Ranch Pounds Taft In Valley Invitational Baseball League

sportswestranchRyan Keller had himself a big day for the West Ranch baseball team in the Valley Invitational Baseball League. He got the win on the mound and hit two home runs in a 15-4 drubbing of Taft on Wednesday.
Cody Howard also hit two home runs for West Ranch. Nico Rusconi and Aaron Smirnoff each had four hits.

West Ranch improved to a perfect 5-0 in the summer baseball league. The team is tied with Crespi for the best record in the Valley Invitational Baseball League. West Ranch will try to improve to 6-0 today at home against Sylmar.
In other games on Wednesday, Hart beat Campbell Hall, 9-1, Saugus lost to Agoura, 8-6, and Newbury Park beat Golden Valley, 6-4.
Canyon, a surprising 3-1 in the summer league, plays at Golden Valley today. Hart is at Chatsworth, Saugus is at Thousand Oaks and Valencia, undefeated at 3-0, is at Camarillo.
Don’t forget to check out the Las Vegas Summer Baseball Club at College of the Canyons today. The Las Vegas team, a scout team of high school players for the Los Angeles Angels, is playing six games over the weekend at COC. The first game is today at 2 against the So Cal Reds scout team.
