The Wildcats even the series at 1-1 thanks to a late rally and Evan Gellatly’s RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Surrendering leads late in games has been Hart’s issue this season and West Ranch pounced on it.
Rubber match is Friday at Hart.

Saugus: 4
Sophomore Owen Strader hit a three-run shot in the first inning, and the Vikings broke a 4-4 deadlock with a run in the fifth, sixth and seventh.
Lukas White pitched a complete game with six strikeouts.
Vikings go for the sweep over the Cents on Friday.
Canyon: 4
Golden Valley: 3
The Cowboys scored in the top of the seventh to slip past Golden Valley on the road and earn their fourth win in a row. Junior Steven Cornell picked up the win with 2.1 innings of scoreless work on the mound.
The Grizzlies go in to Friday’s game looking to avoid the sweep and earn their first league win.

The Dodgers got blasted by the A’s to the tune of 16 runs and 21 hits, and former Dodger Trayce Thompson robbed Yasiel Puig of a home run.
Los Angeles is just 3-3 at home to start the year.
In a word: ugly.
Thursday’s an off day ahead of a weekend series against the Diamondbacks at home, starting Friday.
NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs
The Los Angeles Kings opened the Stanley Cup Playoffs on the road at the expansion Las Vegas Golden Knights, falling 1-0.
They now have the distinct pleasure of being the first playoff win of the Golden Knights in the new franchise’s history. Game 2 is Friday.
The Anaheim Ducks take the ice at Honda Center tonight in their playoff matchup against Pacific Division rival San Jose. The Ducks and Sharks played three one-goal games this season out of four total.
Puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
