In college track and field, 10 athletes from The Master’s College will compete in the NAIA Track and Field Outdoor National Championships in Marion, Ind., starting on Thursday.
John Gilbertson will race in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters races.
Saugus High graduate and freshman Karis Frankian will run in the 10,000 meter race. Teammate Hannah Kellerman is running in the 1,500 meters.
David Eller qualified in the steeple chase and Matthew Crichton qualified in the 1,500. John Hurd, Camden McAlister and Tyler Tockstein will run in the marathon.
Ayla Draper is running in the 100 and 400 meter hurdles and Katrina Graham will race in the 10K.
In baseball, the Dodgers beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 3-1, and snapped a three-game losing streak.
Andre Ethier and Matt Kemp each hit solo home runs. Clayton Kershaw pitched a complete game, giving up one run on three hits and struck out five.
The Dodgers and the Brewers continue their series tonight. Zach Greinke starts for the Dodgers against Hiram Burgos for the Brewers. First pitch is at 5:10.
In the NHL playoffs, the Kings are in San Jose for Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Sharks.
The Kings are coming off a 2-1 overtime loss to the Sharks in Game 3. But the Kings are up, 2-1, in the series.
