Some familiar names and faces from the days when stock cars raced at Saugus Speedway were in action at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana over the weekend. Doug George, who raced regularly at Saugus Speedway when he was in the old Southwest Series and Winston West, was the winning crew chief for Kyle Busch's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team. Ron Hornaday Jr., a driver from Palmdale and a Saugus Speedway late model champion, was sixth in the Truck Series race. Lance Hooper, a Saugus High graduate who also raced at Saugus Speedway, is driving in the Truck Series for Key Motorsports. His race in Fontana didn't end all that well. He was last.
