Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to two reported shootings Wednesday, one that left a man dead in Canyon Country, officials said.

County prosecutors filed a complaint against three men sought by Sheriff’s Department officials last week in connection with charges they organized a fake police department and pretended to be officers.

Accusations of Santa Clarita Valley residents taking part in a fake police organization took another strange twist Wednesday, after Attorney General Kamala Harris put a DOJ staffer on leave in response to the charges.

Here are the crime reports for Canyon Country East, Canyon Country West, Saugus and Stevenson Ranch.

Canyon Country East

A residential burglary occurred near the 27500 block of Silver Oak Ln., Canyon Country.  Suspect(s) unknown entered the victim’s locked residence and stole numerous items.  The victim believed his cousin, who previously lived at the location, may be responsible for the theft.  This incident is currently being investigated by Santa Clarita Station detectives.

A residential burglary occurred near the 18000 block of Anne Cir., Canyon Country.  Suspect(s) unknown entered the victim’s locked residence and stole numerous items.  This incident is currently being investigated by Santa Clarita Station detectives.

A vehicle burglary occurred near the 18300 block of Oak Cyn Rd., Canyon Country.  Suspect(s) unknown forced entry into the victim’s locked vehicle and stole numerous tools.  This incident is currently being investigated by Santa Clarita Station detectives.

An attempted vehicle burglary occurred near Sandy Dr., and Rock Rose Ln., Canyon Country.  Suspect(s) unknown attempted to make entry into the victim’s locked vehicle by smashing the passenger side rear window and attempting to pry the passenger door open.  No items were stolen from the vehicle. This incident is currently being investigated by Santa Clarita Station detectives.

A petty theft occurred near the 26500 block of Cardinal Dr., Canyon Country.   An unknown male suspect syphoned approximately one gallon of gas from the victim’s vehicle while parked at the location.  This incident is currently being investigated by Santa Clarita Station detectives.

A robbery occurred at a business near the 16500 block of Soledad Cyn Rd., Canyon Country.  Suspects entered the location and committed a robbery by physical force.  This incident is currently being investigated by Santa Clarita Station detectives.

Canyon Country West

A robbery occurred near the intersection of Soledad Canyon Road and Sierra Highway.  While the victim was waiting for a bus near the above location, the suspect walked up to the victim and punched him in the back of his head and demanded his money.  The suspect quickly ran away and returned a short time later and ripped off the victim’s necklace.  The two got into a short physical altercation and the suspect dropped the necklace and ran away.  This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station detectives.

An aggravated assault occurred near the 27000 block of Robert C. Lee Parkway.  During a scrimmage football game three victims were assaulted when a small fight broke out on the football field.  This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station detectives.

A residential burglary occurred near the 20300 block of Rue Crevier.  Person(s) unknown entered the victim’s open garage and stole items from within her vehicle which was parked inside.  This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station detectives.

A grand theft occurred near the 26500 block of Ruether Avenue.  Person(s) unknown entered the property near the above location and cut off the brass backflow valve from the main water line.  This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station detectives.

A vehicle burglary occurred near the 18700 block of Mandan Street.  Person(s) unknown shattered the victim’s front passenger window and stole numerous items from within.  This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station detectives.

Saugus

An assault with a deadly weapon occurred near the 28700 block of Placerview Trail.  The victim and her sister got into a physical altercation at a local Valencia Bar.  After being escorted out of the bar by security, the victim realized she misplaced her cell phone.  The victim used her sister’s cell phone to locate her misplaced phone and saw it was located near the above location.  The victim and her sister drove to where her cell phone was located and saw the suspect sitting in a vehicle with the engine running.  The victim began making her way toward the suspect and the suspect quickly accelerated in reverse toward the victim striking her in the upper arm.  The suspect sped away and left the location.  This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station detectives.

A residential burglary occurred near the 27200 block of Elias Avenue.  Person(s) unknown forced entry into the victim’s garage and ransacked the inside while the victim was home in her room.  This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station detectives.

A commercial burglary occurred near the intersection of Whisper Mill Court and Newhall Ranch Road.  Person(s) unknown burned a square block out of a storage container near the above location and stole a ladder and cordless drill from within. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station detectives.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies have released the crime reports for the week of April 27- Mar. 3.A petty theft occurred near the 27500 block of Caraway Lane.  Two suspects were seen by a neighbor taking the victim’s UPS package from the front of their residence.  This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station detectives.

Stevenson Ranch

Vehicle Burglary

A vehicle burglary occurred on the 24900 block of Constitution Ave.  An unknown person smashed the passenger window of the victim’s vehicle and stole her purse containing her wallet, CDL, and credit cards.

A vehicle burglary occurred on the 25300 block of The Old Rd. An unknown person smashed the passenger window of the informant’s work van and stole a portable printer and a phone charger.

Burglary

A burglary occurred on the 25300 block of The Old Rd.  An unknown person(s) went into the office of the location and took 3 laptop computers.  There was no evidence of forced entry.

A burglary occurred on the 24900 block of Pico Canyon Rd.  Two adult males entered the store and stole 2 I-phones and 3 Samsung phones.  The suspects ran from the location and out of view.

A burglary and theft by access card occurred on the 27700 block of The Old Rd.  An unknown person(s) entered the victim’s hotel room and stole his wallet, then made an unauthorized purchase using the victim’s debit card.

Shoplifting

A shoplifting occurred on the 25400 block of The Old Rd.  A female adult attempted to leave the location with a shopping card filled with items without paying.  She was arrested for petty theft.

A shoplifting occurred on the 25450 block of The Old Rd.  A female adult attempted to leave the location with a shopping card filled with items without paying.  She was arrested for petty theft.  (This is a separate incident from the one listed above.)

A shoplifting occurred on the 25400 block of Pico Cyn Rd.  Loss prevention officers reported that after reviewing security video footage they saw 2 male adults and a female adult take 3 purses from a display and concealed them in a duffle bag.  The suspects then left the store without paying for the items.  The incident was reported 8 hours after the incident occurred.Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies have released the crime reports for the week of April 27- Mar. 3.

A shoplifting occurred on the 25450 block of The Old Rd.  A female adult attempted to leave the location with a food item she did not pay for.  She was arrested for petty theft.

A shoplifting occurred on the 25450 block of The Old Rd.  A female juvenile attempted to leave the location with items she did not pay for.  She was detained for petty theft and released to her mother.

Petty Theft

A petty theft occurred on the 24100 block of Pico Cyn.  The victim reported that person(s) unknown stole his Ipad after he left it on a table unattended.
