Santa Clarita’s Concerts in the Park series is a summer-long tradition that begins this year on July 6 at Central Park.
It offers an opportunity for local residents to enjoy a live show on Saturday nights featuring multiple talented bands in an outdoor atmosphere completely free of charge.
As many as 8000 attendees have been present at this outdoor concert series in the past and it will be held every Saturday until late August.
“It is a great event in a beautiful setting that anybody at any age can enjoy. It features great music and food and an opportunity for local residents to be with their families and friends and experience a great time,” said Mike Fleming, Arts and Events Supervisor.
It will feature premier Queen cover band “Queen Nation,” “Best New Act” recipient at the Texaco Showdown “Poor Man’s Poison,” the unparalleled Boston and Styx fusion band “Bostyx,” Latin guitar world sensations “Incendio” and much more.
Each concert commences at 7 p.m. Attendees are advised to bring blankets, food and chairs. Food vendors will be available to serve food throughout the event.
The finals round of the local competition for the Texaco Country Showdown will additionally be taking place at the Concerts in the Park. KHTS AM 1220 will again be sponsoring one of three finalists who will be appearing and competing at the Concerts in the Park on July 13th to progress towards the final round of the Texaco Country Showdown.
