Thursday, December 4th, Power Honda will host a night of
caroling, visits with Santa Claus, and giving back to the community. The whole
event centers around the annual Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Toy Drive, which spends
the first half of December collecting toys, clothing and gift cards for local
children in need.
The program then distributes the items to the local families
in a shop-like setting, where parents can pick out items their children would
like and have them wrapped for the holidays.
Local, low income families are eligible for the program.
At Thursday’s kick off, the public is invited to stop by
Power Honda with a new unwrapped gift from 4:30
to 7:30 p.m. and help launch the
donation drive. Santa will be on hand to take pictures with children and the
sounds of the season will be heard as carolers from local schools will sing for
Donations will be accepted through December 19th at the SCV
Sheriff’s Station, Power Honda, KHTS AM-1220 or anywhere you see a Sheriff’s Toy
Drive donation box.
