Girls Cross Country team gets much deserved recognition.
The Saugus Girls Cross Country Team, who finished first in
the state for the third year in a row, was recognized for their achievements at
this weeks City Council meeting.
The girls and their achievements were announced by Cross
Country Coach Rene Paragas.
“These girls are really talented and do really well academically,”
Sophomore Kailyn Mahoney not only won the individual State companion
title but is also ranked second in her class with a 4.6 GPA.
After winning the state title the girls went on to compete
in the Nike National against teams from all over the country, and placed second
in the Nation.
