Two roommates who had been out drinking Saturday night got into a fight and took it home to their Saugus apartment, where Brian Petrillo, 27, decided to grab a garden hoe and hit his roommate in the face.

He was booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s station on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, but has been released on bond. He’s scheduled to appear in court next week.
