Bruce Fox, a lieutenant with the Glendale Police Department, has decided to withdraw from the race.
Fox said that he is pursuing another job opportunity. If that falls through, he plans on running when the seat on the Saugus board left vacant by Stephen Winkler becomes available.
Incumbents Judy Umeck, Paul De La Cerda and Douglas Bryce and newcomer Chris Trunkey are candidates in the race.
