SCAA Brings The World Of Art To Children

The Tesoro Adobe will be holding a free public reception from 12-4 p.m. on Saturday, featuring face painting and coloring books for children.

Adults can view artwork, enjoy appetizers, tour the museum, which houses collectibles from the 1930’s, and take in the beautiful scenery of cacti, succulents and desert flowers surrounding the Tesoro Adobe Historic Park.

“Bring your children and expose them to the fun of art,” said Laurie Morgan, outgoing president of the Santa Clarita Artists’ Association.  “The SCAA is constantly trying to find new ways to expand and broaden the community’s view of art in the Santa Clarita Valley.”

Organizers are hoping for a pot-luck style food turnout and are encouraging participants to bring their favorite dish to share.
