SCAA Host Annual Gala

SCAAtixArtists can showcase, sell, and view different forms of art at the show.

The Santa Clarita Artists’ Association (SCAA) along with the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation will host the annual fundraiser art show, the Art Classic.

This year’s event, which takes place from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18, will be the 20th anniversary of the show.

“You don’t want to miss the best attended community art event of the season,” said Laurie Morgan, President of the SCAA.  “Our Art Classic committee has a wonderful gala planned – with some fresh ideas.”

Advanced tickets are available for $25 and $30 for tickets at the door.
The Classic will be held at Hart Hall, in William S. Hart Park.

The event will feature music, wine and beverages, hors d’oeuvres and desserts.

Food will by catered by the Hyatt Hotel and additional sponsors.

SCAA artists create in a wide variety of styles: realism, impressionism, abstract, contemporary, plein air, figurative, landscape, wildlife and still life. The beautiful artwork, displayed in oil, watercolor, acrylic, sculpture, mixed media, digital and photography, will be available for purchase.

Free public viewing will be held from 1:30 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, for students, seniors, handicapped, and organizations – minus the party atmosphere.
