On Monday, June 13, 2005 the Santa Clarita Valley Trustees Association will be hosting a school board candidate information night. This information night will begin at 7 p.m. in the Saugus School District Board Room located at 24930 W. Avenue Stanford in Valencia. Anyone interested in running for a position on any of the local school boards is invited to attend. A representative from Newhall, Saugus, Sulphur Springs, Wm. S. Hart and College of the Canyons school boards will be available to discuss the roles and responsibilities of a school board member. The filing period for the November 8, 2005 election runs from July 18 through August 12, 2005.
