Santa Clarita has the third largest Chamber of Commerce in the state of California and is on pace to move into second place this year.

Monday morning, the Chamber met to discuss future membership drives, as well as to honor Carl Goldman and Sharon Bronson for their success in Chamber membership drives which have resulted in earning them the title of Godfather and Godmother. The meeting was held in the eerie surroundings of Molar Manor, a haunted house on Soledad Canyon Road.

The Chamber of Commerce is a non profit organization designed to promote business in this city’s infrastructure. They do this by acting as one voice for community businesses on an array of subjects that affect doing business here in Santa Clarita.

The Chamber is behind events for networking not just between businesses, but also between residents and businesses to create a situation where the local population supports the local economy. 

The Chamber of Commerce also represents local businesses in governmental affairs.  This ensures that Santa Clarita businesses have a united and powerful voice to interact with local, state and federal legislation that could affect them.

Most places in the United States have a Chamber of Commerce, however the effectiveness of a city’s Chamber is directly reliant on its size. In the case of Santa Clarita, that means better business for businesses. With each business that joins the Chamber, the stronger the overall protection and benefits are for the whole city.

Education is another institution that the Chamber supports. They are tied in with College of the Canyons, as well as all of the High School and Jr. Highs. By offering scholarships and supporting educational programs, the Chamber is directly investing in the community’s future leaders.
