SCV Chamber of Commerce To Host Free E-Waste Event

SCV Chamber of Commerce To Host Free E-Waste Event

Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce officials are hosting a free E-waste recycling event at the parking lot for the Celebrate Life Festival parking lot Saturday.

“This is a great opportunity to clean out all your used and unwanted electronics, broken and unusable appliances,” according to a news release.

Among the items being accepted: TV sets, computer monitors, desktop printers, DVD/VCRs, appliances, cellphones and gaming systems.

Light tubes, flourescent tubes and alkaline batteries will not be accepted, according to event officials.

Free PC data transfer and hard-drive destruction will also be available courtesy of Itsageek.com.

Alianza Recycling and Recovery will also be a sponsor of the event. 

The event will take place at 25300 Rye Canyon Road in  Valencia from 9 a.m. to noon.
