“Terri’s exemplary energy, experience and ‘hands on’ work ethic impressed our search committee”, said 2010 Chairman John Shaffery. “We were very impressed with her credentials and look forward to her leadership with our Chamber.”
She will be joined in her return to Santa Clarita by her husband and 10-year-old son.
The Board of the SCV Chamber established a search committee that reviewed the executive job description and crafted a posting which was made locally, as well as on such resources as the Western Association of Chamber Executives, the American Society of Association Executives, LinkedIn, Craig’s list, local sources (such as KHTS and The Signal), as well as the Chamber sites and “word of mouth”. “We, as a search committee, have worked to be organized and disciplined in our process”, said Sue Reynolds, NewMarket Careers and SCVCC Search Committee Lead. “Every single resume was read by more than one committee member. We received excellent candidates from right here in Santa Clarita Valley as well as VERY distant locales! Terri Kingery matches each criteria that we set forth!”
The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce serves over 1100 members and is a proactive advocate for issues that impact the local business community.
