Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Deputies Investigating Home Invasion Robbery and Seeking Public Assistance to Further Investigation, according to officials.

On Dec. 23, at approximately 10:30 p.m. a home invasion robbery was reported from the 19400 block of Green Mountain Drive, in the Canyon Country area of Santa Clarita, according to a news release.
The elderly residents were awakened by the sound of breaking glass inside their home. One of the residents went to investigate and saw a male standing in their home point a handgun and fired one round at the resident, according to a news release.
The bullet fired from the handgun missed the resident and the suspect then fled from the location. Both residents were thankfully not injured during this incident, according to a news release. Although it has been determined the suspect is a male, no further description of the suspect is available at this time.
Detectives assigned to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station have been diligently investigating this incident throughout the nighttime hours, according to a news release.
