SCV Deputies Nab Suspect In Valencia Motorcycle Theft

Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station made a quick arrest after a Harley Davidson motorcycle was reported stolen Tuesday.

Around noon, deputies responded to a reported of a stolen motorcycle at the 24100 block of Del Monte Drive in Valencia, said Sheriff’s Station Deputy Josh Dubin.

The identity of the suspect, who has an Arcadia address, was not being released, pending an investigation.

The victim called and reported that his motorcycle was being stolen at 12:04 p.m.,” Dubin said. “(Deputies) had a description of an older male with a helmet with spikes on it.”

The theft was reported from a condominium complex near College of the Canyons’ Valencia campus.

“Deputies coordinated responding units and and searched the area,” Dubin said.

“A proactive deputy saw the suspect getting on the (Interstate) 5 southbound,” Dubin said. “Deputies coordinated responding units and set up a felony traffic stop on Interstate 5.

The suspect pulled to the side of I-5 just north of the 210 Freeway and surrendered without incident, according to Sheriff’s Station officials.

The suspect is being held at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station on charges related to the theft of the motorcycle.
