Sand Canyon Power Outage Leaves 3,000 Without Power

Over 3,000 Sand Canyon residents were left without p0wer Tuesday morning after high winds damaged electrical infastructure in Canyon Country.

The outages were first reported at approximately 4:10 a.m. Tuesday.

Crews from Southern California Edison are expected to restore power to a majority of the homes affected by 9 a.m.

The outage comes on the heels of a Red Flag fire warning issued by the National Weather Service. The warning cautions Santa Clarita residents to expect gusts of up to 50 miles per hour until Dec. 12.
