The fire started in a body shop located in a multi-unit commercial structure at 26536 Ruether Avenue, according to Melanie Flores, Supervising Fire Dispatcher for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
While heavy smoke could be seen coming from the shop, no injuries were reported, and no other structures were damaged, according to fire officials.
Eight units in total were sent out to the body shop blaze, according to Flores, which helped fire officials to knock down the fire less than 20 minutes after they were initially dispatched, according to LACoFD officials.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to officials.
