Firefighters Battle 2-3 Acre Fire Along 5 Freeway in Castaic

Firefighters are battling a 2-3 acre brush fire along the 5 freeway Friday evening, against dry conditions and winds of up to 15 MPH.

The fire was reported at approximately 6 p.m. alongside the northbound 5 at Vista Del Lago.

A Sigalert has been issued for the #3 and 4 lanes of the 5 freeway as of 6:10 p.m. Those lanes are blocked until further notice from Osito Canyon onward.
