The brush fire was reported to officials around 9:30 p.m. at Foothill Boulevard and Sierra Highway, said Inspector David Michael with the Los Angeles County Fire Department. It was extinguished around 10 p.m.
“The first on units are reporting three acres in heavy to medium fuels, with no winds and one structure threatened,” he said.
While firefighters on scene originally said the fire was 3 acres, it was downgraded to 2 acres by the time they had established a perimeter line around the blaze.
Fire officials did not elaborate on what kind of structure was threatened.
It is unclear as of 10 p.m. what caused the fire.
