An RV caught on fire in Saugus late Friday night, with flames from the blaze briefly spreading to a nearby home.
Just after 11:10 p.m. Friday, officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department received reports of a structure fire on the 27500 block of Cherry Creek Drive in Saugus.
“There was an RV on fire,” said Supervisor Pittman with the department. “It was pretty close to the house.”
Dubbed the “Cherry Fire,” firefighters quickly contained the blaze to RV it initially started in, with “minimal” damage to the exterior of the nearby home, according to officials on scene.
“There was no extension into the interior, but there was definitely fire adjacent to it,” Pittman added
