The first fire was reported at the 27900 block of Gibson Place in Valencia around 11 p.m. on Friday, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“When units arrived on scene they reported an outside shed fire, and were able to handle with two units,” said Art Marrujo, dispatch supervisor with LACoFD.

The second reported fire was at the same address on Gibson Place at 4 a.m. Saturday, said LACoFD officials.

“When units arrived on scene they reported smoke and fire showing from the attic vents of the home,” Marrujo said.

Even though two fires were reported at the same address within five hours of each other, there was no need for arson investigators, he said.

“It was just an unfortunate coincidence,” said LACoFD investigators.

There were no reported injuries for both fires.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
