A vehicle fire spread to brush near the 14 Freeway near Escondido Canyon Road Monday night, officials said.
Reports were received around 8:20 p.m. of a vehicle fire on the right shoulder on the northbound 14 Freeway north of Escondido Canyon Road.
“It’s a fully involved truck with slight spread to brush,” said Supervisor Pittman with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The truck, said to be an F-250, was fully involved in flames by the time Fire Department officials arrived on scene, according to Pittman.
The fire spread to brush, but was deemed only a small spot at about 50-by-50 foot fire, and two engines would be able to handle it, according to officials.
“There have been no reported injuries,” Pittman added.
One Lane was blocked by first responders as of 8:45 p.m. Monday prompting delays in the area, according to the California Highway Patrol.
