Kevin WoyjeckKevin Woyjeck, 21, was one of the Granite Mountain Hotshots lost in the fire that charred more than 13 square miles and destroyed more than 200 buildings, according to an NBC News report.

His father, Joe Woyjeck, has served as captain for the Los Angeles County Fire Department for nearly 30 years.

For those who would like to honor Kevin Woyjeck’s memory or reach out to the family during this time, memorial funds and websites are in place for the Woyjecks in particular and for the families of all the fallen Hotshots.

Click here to visit the official Kevin Woyjeck memorial page set up by L.A. County Fire. The public can send their condolences, or contribute to the Kevin Woyjeck Memorial Fund, here.

Several funds and pages have also been set up for the entire Granite Mountain Hotshots team. On the Facebook page, people can post condolences and purchase memorial t-shirts.

The Wildland Firefighters Foundation is also accepting donations for the families of the Hotshots. They provide direct cash payments, transportation and food for families of fallen wildland firefighters.

Keith Mora, spokesman for L.A. County Fire said that while cards, flowers and donations are welcome, basic necessities, such as food and house care, are being provided for the Woyjeck family by their community in Seal Beach.

“The family does want to thank everyone throughout the country that’s been forthcoming with their condolences,” Mora said.
