Deputies sweep Northbridge home, find poor conditions.
[view:node_ad=5]Saturday evening, Santa Clarita Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home in the 23000 block of Summerglen Place in the Northbridge area of Valencia, according to Lt. Tom Bryskie.
The owner of the home, Carol Hershey, had reportedly violated a custody agreement with her ex-husband and would not disclose the location of their two daughters. This prompted responding deputies to arrest Hershey for child concealment, which is a felony.
Deputies then searched her five-bedroom home and located the children. They also found that Hershey had rented out four of the five bedrooms to at least eight people. She and the two daughters were living in the master bedroom.
Additionally, officials determined that the living conditions in the master bedroom were poor enough to also arrest Hershey for child endangerment.
