There is a trend toward natural fibers in all bedding and linens in the home, often made of bamboo, these materials are soft to the touch and beautiful to have in the bedroom and bathroom.
Why not extend the natural materials to the actual bedroom furniture?
A headboard doesn’t have to be a boring slab of solid wood. Think outside the box and use the headboard as a way to add interest to the room. For the nature lover, this bedroom would be a delightful departure from the predictable headboard and nite stands.
Consider the following when designing your “natural” bedroom.
1. A monochromatic color scheme can work in this bedroom due to the visual interest with the textured headboard, nite stand, area rug and pillows.
2. This look may lend itself to a contemporary home more than a traditional. Or consider making a guest room with these natural elements.
3. Be sure to follow manufacturers instructions on washing bamboo sheets and bedding, to avoid shrinkage.
