I am often called into to settle a battle between the sexes. The lady of the house has a different set of priorities when it comes to designing a room, over her male counterpart.
When it is time to design a space just for a man, I really enjoy expressing the style and interests of my client.

Where to start?
What is the function of the room? A bedroom is primarily for sleeping, but a gentleman may want a spot to read and watch TV. I recently designed a “man cave” for a client who wanted a space to hang with his friends on weekends.
Get to know his hobbies and interests. Does he travel? If so, then consider adding a travel theme with accessories, a globe or world map framed on the wall.
Materials: Natural materials, woods, leathers,
Accessorizing: Minimal is best for a man, but they must be personalized collectibles,
Pattern/color: menswear-inspired colors and patterns (grays, pinstripes, crisp white cotton)
