I feel so fortunate to call Valencia my home. Spring is my favorite season; the weather is fantastic, my garden is thriving and doesn’t chicken just taste better cooked on the grill?
When warm weather arrives, my attention naturally turns outdoors. What are you doing to welcome the season?
I have planted new flowers, washed my outdoor furniture and purchased new candles for the outdoor lighting. That was all last week!

Entertaining on your patio is so inviting, especially when you have all the proper elements to create an outdoor living space. Here is a fun project for you to enhance your outdoor living spaces.
In an area of the patio that is designated for dining or lounging, I suggest this lovely centerpiece for a cocktail table or the dining table.
1. Start with a container safe for outdoor use, such as this copper bowl.
2. Add some sand and seashells, which can be purchased at a craft store or the beach.
3. Consider adding a votive candle to light in the evening hours.
4. Wow your guests with this simple, functional, timeless design element.
In the fall or winter, you can change out the seashells for some seasonal decor items such as small pumpkins, acorns or gourds in the fall.
It doesn’t take a lot of money to enhance your patio, just some creativity and a bit of your time.
Of course if you don’t have the time to create an outdoor space, I am here to help! This is the season I create outdoor rooms for my clients. Give me a call at 661 430-0127.
