Extend The Life Of Your Electronics

electronicsThe need for surge protection has dramatically increased in recent years due to the rise in the number of home electronics. Computers, printers, telephones, stereos, televisions, small appliances and other multi-media devices are especially susceptible to power surges.

These electronic devices are sensitive to power surges and can be destroyed during a surge. One excellent solution to this problem is a ‘whole house’ surge protector.

A surge protector saves the life of your electronics by diverting the extra electricity during a surge.

“We install them in the main electrical panel and they get the surge right at the incoming source. You don’t have to have a number of other smaller surge protectors and cords taking up space,” Judd Bloykin of Valencia Electric said.

Anytime there is a power outage, there is a possibility of a power surge when the power comes back on.  When this happens, electronic devices are at risk.

“A surge puts a large load of power directly to an appliance and blows out the circuits. If a surge doesn’t completely destroy the appliance, overtime, surges will limit the life of the appliance,” Boykin said.

Since 2004 Valencia Electric has been serving the Santa Clarita Valley and offers a range of services including whole house surge protection at a reasonable cost.
