A flat screen TV mounted on the wall can provide excellent viewing pleasure and eliminate the need for a TV stand or cabinet. What can subtract from your room’s ambience is the presence of wires or cables trailing from your wall mounted TV.
There are several ways to address this problem: a quick and easy fix would be to conceal the wires behind wall curtains. This would require pre-existing power outlets on the wall of your choosing.
If this is not the case, then a more permanent option would be to run the cables through the walls. This process will require some time and power tools.
Most wall mounts come with instructions to secure the wall mount to the wall and the brackets to the TV. Make sure to follow instructions carefully.
Mounting your flat screen TV on the wall without wires or cables showing can be difficult depending on your level of experience and patience. You may need a professional to come in and assist you.
“The cost for mounting a TV really depends on the amount of items needed to be placed behind the TV and what lines need to be run through the wall,” Mike Derderian of Valencia Electric said.
“I am a firm believer of calling a professional because he will know what he needs. I highly recommend calling a professional when it comes to running electricity, someone inexperienced can get really hurt. If you do decided to do it yourself, make sure to shut off the power and give us a call if you have questions, we will always offer free advice,” Derderian said.
Since 2004 Valencia Electric has been serving the Santa Clarita Valley and offers a range of services including flat screen TV installation at a reasonable cost.
