The Santa Clarita moving company Camelot Moving and Storage has a long history of giving back to the community, and is continuing that commitment today by donating time, services and funding to a variety of causes.

Next month is the annual Festival of Trees fundraiser benefitting the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley, and Camelot Moving and Storage has once again volunteered to store and deliver the auctioned-off trees to the highest bidders.

“People (bid) on fully decorated Christmas trees decorated by the local designers, and we make it easy on them when they buy a 6- or 8-foot tree,” said Billy Kornfeld, CEO of Camelot Moving and Storage. “We actually pick up all of the trees, we bring them to our warehouse, then we schedule deliveries individually to each house, each business, wherever they’re going to.”

Kornfeld even invited the community to bring their children by the Camelot Moving and Storage warehouse after the event for a little extra holiday magic.

“We have a Christmas tree forest in our warehouse,” he said. “If you have kids, if you have nieces and nephews, bring them on by. Come on in there and show them the festivity.”

During the month of October — Breast Cancer Awareness Month — Camelot Moving and Storage has also committed to donating $10 per invoice to the Foundation for Breast Cancer Research, pledging to donate a minimum of $2,000 to the organization.

“We’re excited about that, we’re proud of it,” said Kornfeld. “We’re all behind it, the whole team is.”

Camelot Moving and Storage has also acted as the go-to Santa Clarita moving company for the Santa Clarita Valley Domestic Violence Center for years, according to Kornfeld.

“We help them out whenever they need it,” he said. “We’ve help them with storage, we’ve helped them with moves… Occasionally they have kind of an emergency situation. Someone needs to get out of a bad setting and they call us up and we help them out, and we do it for free. It’s just part of helping the community, so we’re happy to do that.”
