“You still have the glass big and strong, and I know some people really question that, but I don’t think it’s going anywhere because it’s a very natural, organic kind of product,” said Cheryl Ingrassia.

In addition to the popular 12×24 tiles, Ingrassia noted she has seen an increase in larger formats recently, such as the 36×24 tiles, with continued preferences to quartz material.

“What’s wonderful about quartz is that it’s man-made, and so therefore we can make it many different colors,” said Ingrassia. “Granite is natural stone so that’s kind of limited in colors, where the quartz you can get in all ways. You can get it to look like marble, you can get it to look like granite or just plain.”

Ingrassia continued that bathrooms are typically the most challenging room in the house to renovate because of the usual abundance of small details, including tiling around the standard toilet, sink and shower/tub.

“Even though a kitchen is really important, they’re bigger products and there’s not as much details going into it as far as the tile aspects of it,” she said. “It doesn’t matter if the bathroom is large or small — everyone has a sink, everyone has a toilet, everyone has a shower or a tub.”
