The Right Choice For Your Kitchen And The Environment

Living a sustainable lifestyle may be easy in regards to grocery shopping and clothing choices, but what about kitchen remodeling?

New cabinets can be costly and for something primarily made from natural products it is important to make sure they come from an environmentally conscious company.

Green Cabinets are made from either environmentally stable wood species or reclaimed and recycled woods. Some types of green cabinetry can be made from Bamboo, Lyptus wood, or wood veneers.

There are nearly 150 different green cabinetry companies. Specific companies such as Elmwood Kitchens, Kitchen Craft Cabinetry, Cabinetry by Karman and Columbia Cabinets are certified by the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association under their Environmental Stewardship Program (ESP). This program guarantees green cabinetry and materials.

Look for the ESP seal to make sure you are making the right choice for you and the environment.

“All our manufactures use materials from environmentally responsible companies. We offer green cabinetry,” Steven Lenenberg owner of Canyon Kitchen and Bath said.

Serving Santa Clarita since 1988 Canyon Kitchen and Bath carries all of the mentioned products and is SCV’s one stop shop for all bathroom and kitchen remodels.
